Opening Reception & Book Signing for Rita Winkler: My Art, My World

My Art, My World is an exhibition featuring 28 colourful watercolour paintings by Rita Winkler, a young woman with Down syndrome.
 
We invite you to join us for the opening celebration on June 16th from 4-6pm. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
 
Rita, along with her mother Helen and uncle Mark, will be in attendance. The three have recently released a children’s book titled My Art, My World and will be signing copies at the reception. Copies of the book can be purchased from the Douglas Family Art Centre for $19.95.
 
This exhibition is also a fundraiser for the Kenora Association for Community Living. Rita’s framed paintings, calendar, notecards, and more will be available to purchase with all proceeds going to support KACL.

Did you know?
