Update: Closed to the Public Until January 27th

As a result of the latest public health measures and restrictions, the Lake of the Woods Museum and the Douglas Family Art Centre will remain closed to the public until (at least) January 27th.

Staff will continue to both remotely and on-site during this time, so please feel free to email us if you have any questions. 

We look forward to welcoming you back to The Muse soon.

The Lake of the Woods is a remnant of glacial Lake Agassiz and contains 14 542 islands. The underlying Precambrian bedrock is one of the oldest geological formations on earth.
