Instructor: Shelby Dawn Smith
On April 22nd from 2-4pm in the Studio we will be transforming children into fantastic fairies using the magic of art!
Children will craft their own wearable set of fairy wings and their choice of accessories (i.e., wand, crown, etc) using paper, cardboard, paints, and a variety of craft and natural materials. Participants will be able to choose from a variety of pre-cut wings shapes that they may customize to make their own.
This program is inspired by the magic of childhood captured in Susan Coyne’s book The Kingfisher Days, and by the upcoming Trylight Theatre production of The Kingfisher Days.
As this is a larger scale project, parents of younger children or those who may need an extra hand are encouraged to attend with their child.
Registration is required and you can register by contacting the Douglas Family Art Centre at (807) 467-2201, in person at 224 Main St. S., or filling out our online registration form.
