Expressions of Self (ages 13-17) – 8 weeks

This 8-week course for children ages 13-17 runs Thursdays from 4:30-6pm from March 5 to April 30.*
*Please note that there is no class during March break (March 19).
Many of the great artists have reflected on their own reflection in their artwork. The self-portrait is a great way to challenge oneself artistically, and learn to face and accept what we may be insecure about. Students will learn about the origins of the selfie, while looking at how artists have stylized and interpreted their own faces throughout the years. They will create self-portraits in the style of these artists, learning new techniques in their chosen medium(s), and finally create a self-portrait in their own style.

The cost to register for this 8-week class is $160 +HST for non-members or $152 +HST for MUSE members. Limited to 16 participants. All materials are supplied.
