Creepy ‘Cones (ages 8-14)

I scream, you scream, we all scream….
In this workshop for children ages 8-14, we will be designing ice-cream cones so creepy, you wouldn’t dare take a bite. In fact, the cone just might “bite” back!
The class will start out with a brief introduction into the genre of surrealist art, complete with examples of other artworks. Participants will brainstorm ideas for their own creepy cone, sketch their design in pencil, and then create a bold outline in black marker. We’ll discuss techniques for working with pencil crayons, and all participants will receive a handout outlining what they have learned.
This workshop takes place on Friday, October 27th from 2:00-3:30pm. Registration and payment are required to reserve your space. The cost is $20 +HST per child or $18 +HST for MUSE members. All materials supplied.
