In the Studio: Painting Workshop with Patrick Hunter

by Shelby Smith

On March 25th, the Douglas Family Art Centre had the pleasure of welcoming Patrick Hunter to lead a painting workshop in the Studio.

Patrick Hunter is a 2Spirit, Ojibwe artist, graphic designer and award winning entrepreneur from Red Lake, Ontario.  We were able to schedule this workshop as part of Patrick’s Paint Class Road Trip, where he put on painting classes at various stops along the way driving from Toronto, ON to Red Lake, ON.

Patrick led everyone through a step-by-step process that was easy to follow along with, regardless of previous artistic experience.  Smiles, laughs, and a delicious homemade soup were shared and enjoyed by all who attended.
