In the Studio: Mushroom in a Bowl with Kris Goold
by Shelby Smith
Last night the Douglas Family Art Centre hosted local artist, Kris Goold of Fragile Glass Studio, for another one of her incredible sgraffito workshops. This time they tackled a new subject (mushrooms) and a new challenge (working in the curve of a bowl). As always, Kris did an excellent job leading the students through the steps to create their very own Mushroom in a Bowl!
If you want to try one of Kris’s workshops for yourself, we have another one scheduled for May 18th. This time participants will be using the mushroom motif again, but this time the technique will be applied to the outside of a porcelain mug. These classes have a tendency to fill up, so register early to avoid disappointment!
