Happy Heritage Week! Enjoy FREE Admission to the Museum on Saturday

by Braden Murray

Did You Know: It is Heritage Week here in Ontario! This year’s theme is “Celebrating Museums,” so we are taking a look back to 1972 for one of our favourite things— lots of smiling faces on a field trip!

To celebrate Heritage week we are offering FREE admission for the Lake of the Woods Museum this Saturday, February 26th.

Alongside the permanent collection at the Museum, you can take in our latest temporary exhibition The Golden Age of Postcards: From the Collection of Rob McInnes.

Rob has been collecting local postcards for many years, and these are a sample of his favourite. In this exhibit we’ve supersized over 50 postcards that tell the story of Kenora, Keewatin, and Norman in the boom days before the First World War.

Bring a friend! Bring your kids! Bring a date!

We’ll see you this Saturday at the Museum!
