Welcome to the Muse 2024 Summer Speaker Series taking place on Sunday afternoons at the Lake of the Woods Museum at 2:00 pm.

This session Ethan Amyotte gives a presentation of the Ontario Geological Survey’s 2024 Field Work. Ethan Amyotte is a geologist working with the Ontario Geological Survey as Kenora’s District Geologist. As District Geologist, Ethan is responsible for disseminating geoscience public information and stimulating mineral exploration, supporting the clean energy transition. Ethan will be giving a presentation on the local geology of the Kenora area that will include some local geological history, local mineral utilization and highlight some interesting rock exposures in the area.
