Make it Maud (Painting Workshop)

March 27, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$40

Instructor: Shelby Dawn Smith

Maud Lewis’ delightful paintings covered her home — literally!  Lewis painted her home inside and out in her signature style.  She painted her door, oven, and even her dust pan!

In this workshop, participants will bring in object(s) from their home (or a great garage sale find!) to decorate in a folk art style of painting using Maud’s work as an example.  Add a touch of joy to your home with a handmade accent piece.

Registration is required and you can register by contacting the Douglas Family Art Centre at (807) 467-2201 or emailing [email protected]. Payment will be required upon registration. The cost to register $40 +HST for non-members or $36 +HST for MUSE members. Limited to 8 participants.

Participants are required to bring their own object(s) to paint, and are encouraged to bring old house paints from home to use.  Paints and brushes will also be provided for the class.

All participants will be required to wear masks and social distance during the class.

Register early to avoid disappointment.
