$10
The Head stone of George Drewry at the Lake of the Woods Cemetery

Presenter: CODIE BROOK GOODMAN

With over 14,000 burials the Lake of the Woods Cemetery is one of the largest cemeteries in northern Ontario. Join Museum Curator, CODIE BROOK GOODMAN as we explore Kenora’s history through the lens of life and death.  From true crime tales and murder mysteries, to the Ontario-Manitoba border war, sickness and disease, and one of the most famous bank robberies in Canadian history. These true stories of real people combine to give a history of Kenora like you’ve never heard before.

Tour is approximately 90 minutes and takes place on site at the Lake of the Woods Cemetery, Kenora, ON. Bug spray is optional, but recommended.

Tours proceed rain or shine EXCEPT if there is a Severe Weather Warning issued by Environment Canada

The tour group meets at the Lake of the Woods Cemetery Garage. The garage is located in the northeast corner of the cemetery. There is ample parking on site.

The cost is $10.00 per person and you can register here.
