Instructor: Shelby Dawn Smith
In this 6-week session of art classes for teens ages 13-17, participants will explore a variety of artistic media, while working in both two- and three- dimensions. For the first few classes, teens will work on projects that explore their identity through their artwork, including: an intuitive drawing/writing project and a self-portrait. Later projects will cover specific artistic techniques, artists, or themes, but will allow teens more freedom to explore their unique artistic styles and perspectives. Teens will also have the opportunity to make suggestions and vote on topics or artistic media to be covered in later classes, providing a more personalized experience for the group.
The course will run Thursdays from 4:30-6:00pm from September 19 – October 24, 2024.
The cost to register for this 6-week class is $225 +HST, or $202.50 +HST for MUSE members. Limited to 12 participants. All materials are supplied.
Registration and payment are required to reserve your space in this class. If you will be using Triple PLAY or another funding source, please contact us by calling 807-467-2201 so that our staff can make special arrangements.
